I’ve always loved making up stories and learning to tell them with paint has been fascinating. I begin without any preconceived plan. I start by applying color and shapes until I see a story emerge. Then it’s as if the story has been waiting on me to evolve. The characters, animals and marks seem to know more about what’s going on than I do. I follow their lead to capture a brief moment of a much larger story.
Painting allows me to explore my imagination, but I want to engage your imagination along with mine. I hope to capture the essence of the scene in such a way that you feel as though you were with me when I created the piece. Come join me in my world for at least a moment and hopefully longer.
I can’t imagine not being in my studio every day. It brings a song to my heart that maybe only I can hear, but it is my wish that we see each other through my art. Our stories matter deeply and I hope you might see we share some of the same stories.
